The projects she looks forward to most are comedies and period dramas, with her favorite theatre projects include Hello, Dolly! (Ermengarde), A Tribute to Stephen Sondheim (Soloist), Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson (Elizabeth, Naomi, Ensemble), and The Little Mermaid (Adella, Ensemble) regionally and Three Sisters (Irina), The Rocky Horror Show (Janet), and The 25th Annual…Spelling Bee (Olive) educationally.

Lauren Magee was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX and has performed in over 25 productions at Casa Mañana regional theatre - and over 50 productions total, to date. She will soon obtain her B.F.A. in Acting from Texas State University, as well as a B.S. in Public Relations with a 4.0.

Lauren absolutely adores pugs (especially her own, JJ and Shu), rock 'n' roll, modern art, and Tex-Mex.

She got bangs pre-pandemic (75% voluntarily), and it was one of the best decisions she made.

Lauren does her fair share of community service, as well. She regularly donates her time to rescuing items from TJ Maxx, ensuring that they get to a good home

(admittedly, often her own).

In her spare time, she enjoys creating episodes of SNLa: Saturday Night Lauren. Originally called The Corona Chronicles during the pandemic, her short-form, satirical sketch comedy series transitioned from posting a 1–2-minute video every day to a 3–5-minute video every Saturday.

Lauren has come a long way since her first regional theatre production at age 8...

when she initially informed the director that she could not return for callbacks because she had already made plans to attend a friend’s sleepover.

Thankfully, she was told she could attend both and was cast as Marta in The Sound of Music, starring Broadway’s Jacquelyn Piro Donovan and Steve Blanchard, directed by Alan Coats.
